Technology
Hotel Management System — Pekalongan
This hotel moved from paper logs and spreadsheets to one operational system. Reception can confirm reservations, check room readiness, and send WhatsApp messages from one screen. I partnered with the owner and operations team to build a system around their daily routines.
Challenge
Reservations, room status, and revenue reports were spread across different places. Housekeeping, maintenance, accounting, and management coordinated work manually. Attendance and payroll operated outside the main system. Disorganized records also left room for fraud.
Solution
The system connects reservations, room status, guest records, invoices, and reporting. Access permissions follow departmental responsibilities. WhatsApp automation handles confirmations, reminders, and operational messages. Attendance and payroll use the same system.
I built it with Next.js 16, PostgreSQL, and Drizzle ORM. The interface supports three languages for the hotel team.
Impact
Housekeeping gets clearer room status. Management can review daily figures without reassembling separate records. Payroll and attendance now run alongside other operational processes.
The owner reports 3× monthly income in a comparison before and after the system was introduced. The basis is the hotel dashboard, an interview, and owner records. More organized records and operational controls helped close opportunities for the substantial fraud that had occurred previously. This is the outcome of this project; results at other hotels depend on their operating conditions.
