Visitor Management System Integration

This freelance integration project connected a system control platform with a visitor management system, bringing separate operational signals into one dashboard view.

Challenge

Different systems owned different parts of the operation. The system control handled facility access and monitoring, while visitor management tracked guests and appointments. Teams needed one place to see both without switching between tools.

Solution

I worked on integration flows, normalized operational data from both systems, and built dashboard views that combined system control events with visitor management data. The result gave operators a single view for daily monitoring, exceptions, and workflow status.

Impact

Before the integration, operators switched between two separate applications to understand what was happening on-site: one for visitor check-ins and appointments, another for facility access and monitoring. Afterward, one dashboard showed both — a visitor check-in could be correlated with the access event it triggered, and an anomaly in either system was visible alongside the other. Context switching dropped. When something needed attention, operators had the full picture without playing detective across two screens.
