Visitor Management System Integration

Operators used to check two separate applications to see what was happening on-site. This integration project put both into one dashboard. I connected a system control platform with a visitor management system, so facility access, monitoring, check-ins, and appointments show up in a single view.

Challenge

Different systems owned different parts of the operation. System control handled facility access and monitoring; visitor management tracked guests and appointments. Teams needed one place to see both, without switching between tools.

Solution

I built integration flows that normalized operational data from both systems. Dashboard views combined system control events with visitor management data in one place. The result gave operators a single view for daily monitoring, exceptions, and workflow status.

Impact

A visitor check-in can now be correlated with the access event it triggered. An anomaly in either system shows up alongside the other, instead of hiding in a separate tool. Context switching dropped. When something needs attention, operators get the full picture without playing detective across two screens.
